Fit Out UK employ numerous carbon reduction initiatives designed to help meet our carbon negative targets and those of our clients.
Consolidation
Our consolidation service allows us to manage the transportation and delivery of multiple materials, equipment and plant consolidated onto a single delivery vehicle.
The environmental benefits of this approach are substantial, saving hundreds of thousands of transport miles.
Reuse and Recycle
Our priority is to reuse and recycle end-of-use equipment wherever possible in order to minimise landfill.
We inspect all equipment due to be replaced and restore it for reuse. Our expert welding, metal work and powder coating facilities ensure a “good-as-new” quality to all equipment reintroduced to our clients’ supply chain.
Transport
Fit Out UK are working hard to reduce pollution caused by transportation. We employ double deck trailers which hold 35.5% more than a standard trailer and are designed to save 10% on fuel.
In addition we have a fleet of electric Moffetts used for onsite delivery.
Waste Management
Our manufacture and assembly facility is fitted with a biomass heat recovery system. This allows us to burn all organic material, such as wood chip, wood pellet or organic waste, to produce heat.
All our UK facilities employ a waste management system where all waste materials are separated and recycled to minimise landfill.
